The Verkehrsverbund Region Braunschweig (VRB) comprises local public transport services provided by various transport companies, including Deutsche Bahn AG, in the Braunschweig region. The network area includes the districts of Gifhorn, Goslar, Helmstedt, Peine and Wolfenbüttel as well as the cities of Braunschweig, Salzgitter and Wolfsburg.

The VRB app has two main problems. Firstly, it presents itself with an outdated-looking design, which potentially leads to a suboptimal user experience and reduces its attractiveness for users. Secondly, the app suffers from an inefficient information layout, as important information is scattered across different submenus or pages, making navigation difficult and potentially frustrating for users.
A comprehensive update that both modernizes the design and improves the information architecture could help increase user satisfaction and better prepare the app for future needs.
